Indian Ring Ceremony

Two Souls, Two Hearts, One Love

It's not difficult to stand mesmerized by the sheer vibrancy, love, and ritual of the Indian Ring Ceremony. From time to time we will be focusing the work of Lucia Belle Photography, a Richmond based photography team known for their diverse portfolio. These amazing photos were taken at the party for newly engaged Dhruvit and Jinita.

Like all other pre-wedding ceremonies, the Engagement Party signifies the matrimonial relationship that is sustained by religious faith and understanding. Indian matrimony means much more than just presentation, engagements, gifts and finery’s. The marriage unifies two families and two souls. The exchanging of the rings is just the beginning of one of the most important celebrations in India.

On the day of the Engagement Party, the priest blesses the couple so that they may lead a very peaceful and happy life. All the blessings are merged with an ardent well wish for one another as the couple exchanges rings, making each other an integral part of their life, and solemnly pledging to be united in both good and bad times. After the rings are exchanged all of the relatives and friends gather for the dinner party and dancing – Lots of Dancing!!
