There is lots going on the next few months including these two great events!

b list wedding blogger conference

The second annual B-List Conference. The B-List is a select group of the top wedding bloggers and we are holding our annual conference in Washington, DC this year. I'm so excited for this. Last year I had such a great time in NYC meeting all my other favorite bloggers and learning more about them and the whole blogging world. If you are a wedding vendor, we would love to meet you at our meet + greet cocktail reception being held on Friday, April 16th at the Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia from 7 - 10 pm. This will be a great opportunity to meet and chat with all your favorite wedding bloggers in one place. For more information on registering to attend (and hurry because there are limited spaces!) please click here. I hope to see you in DC next month!

unveiled wedding event
Unveiled is a one-of-a-kind wedding event taking place this Sunday, March 28 outdoors in LA on Melrose Place. Bridal designers Carolina Herrera, Vera Wang, Monique Lhuillier & Temperley London will all be presenting their beautiful dresses. There will be a “The State of the Union” expert panel which will include Mindy Weiss, Marc Friedland, Joachim Splichal, & Eden Rodriguez. There will be cake, champagne, and lots more surprises. I'm usually not a fan of wedding shows, but outside with all my favorite dress designers and lots more great vendors such as ban.do, fiore beauty, sweet + saucy shop, the lollipop girls, and so many more - I'm excited for this one! Tickets are $30 if you purchase in advance, $40 at the door. You can buy them here. Hope to see you there!

Isn't it Lovely?

I'm pleased to announce that my 2010 bridal collection, "Heroines," will soon be available at Lovely, a new bridal boutique opening in New York City. If you're on the hunt for a dress and within shopping distance of NY, definitely stop in. Check Lovely's website and blog for more information. As of press time, opening date is scheduled for April 3rd!

We'd like to thank the academy.

So many talented people helped us put on our fashion show, and it's time for a shout out! The lovely hair styling was done by Salon 220, makeup was by Madi Cosmetics, flowers by Ink & Peat, photography by the incredible Lisa Warninger. Some very special hats and headpieces came from Pinkham Millinery. Additional dress embellishments and headpieces by Twigs & Honey (we at the English Dept. worked up a few, too). Our generous host for the event was the Ace Hotel. Incredible smoked-salt-lavender chocolates were courtesy of Neopolitan Printing. Canoe offered bridal registry (check it out, ladies). Thank you, also, to everyone who attended--it was an honor to show off our party dresses for you! A complete slide show of the show can be seen here.

A day of rest.

Will you just look at these beautiful ladies? Our annual English Dept. bridal fashion show came off without a hitch yesterday (hurrah!). Thanks to everyone who attended, helped out, carried stuff, cheered us on, fixed a zipper, or modeled (l to r: Lacey, Jenna, Linda May, Sarah, Jillian, Kathleen, Canyon). I feel honored to have such beauty and talent all around me. A million thanks. And now, a nap.
